My Photography History
I took my first photo at an age of about 5 years with a Kodak Brownie; a black and white photo of the inside of my mother’s purse (it was mostly black). It took another 40 years before I took my second black and white photo. In the mean time I shot thousands of color transparencies. More....
My Favorite Part About My Photography?
Looking through the viewfinder and composing the photo, isolating the subject, extracting it from our visually chaotic world to make a simple, and hopefully esthetically appealing photograph.
I’m not trying to say or do anything socially profound with my photography. Words like ‘tableau’, ‘imbue’, ‘cavillous‘ and ‘chiaroscuro’ won’t be found here. My photography is motivated by the enjoyment I receive from it, and the friends I’ve made through it.
